Pool Pump Timer Switch Not Working

There are several reasons why your pool timer may be malfunctioning.
Pool pump timer switch not working. I have an intermatic t20004r and my timer is working because it is keeping the correct time. I made sure the trippers were fully inserted and tight. Let a few hours pass and return to check the timer. But if your circuit breaker is in the on position and your pool timer clock is not rotating and the timer is not working then you will need to call a licensed electrician to replace the timer.
I bought new trippers. Timer pins can be missing or the timer could be defective. Your timer could be set incorrectly or the timer may not be getting power. The pool pump motor is not working or turning off while running.
The capacitor is what starts the pump by giving it a jolt of electricity. Commonly many pool owners will think there pool timer is broken and not working when all they had to to is turn the circuit breaker to the on position. First check to see if the pump is getting power and check your timer to make sure the pump is on. If the dial is in the same position the swimming pool timer either isn t working properly or it s not getting electricity.
One morning i noticed my pool didn t automatically turn off. When your pool timer stops working it doesn t necessarily mean that you will have to rush out and buy a new one. Also note the position of the on pin and the off pin. If your pump is not starting you ll want to check a couple of things.
